Fashion and Style

 Difference between fashion and style:

Fashion" refers to the current trends and popular styles of clothing that are widely accepted at a given time, essentially what's "in vogue," while "style" is a personal expression of individuality through clothing choices, reflecting a person's unique taste and identity, which may or may not align with current fashion trends; in simpler terms,

Fashion:

fashion is about what's popular, or the latest style of clothing, hair, decoration, or behavior.

Style:

while style is about how you choose to present yourself through clothing based on your own preferences.

Key points to remember:

  • Fashion is external, style is internal:
Fashion focuses on what's currently trending in the market, while style is about how you express yourself through clothing, aligning with your personal identity

Fashion changes rapidly, style is more timeless:

Fashion trends come and go quickly, whereas a person's style can remain consistent over time even if it incorporates elements of current fashion.

  • Fashion is often influenced by designers, style is unique to the individual:
Fashion is driven by what designers and influencers are promoting, while style is a personal choice that reflects an individual's personality.

Example:

Wearing a brightly colored, oversized blazer might be considered "fashionable" if it's a
current trend, but someone who incorporates it into their personal style would wear it in a way that complements their overall aesthetic, regardless of trendiness.
